Having many years research and teaching experience in the field of exercise physiology, as well as presenting at international conferences and giving key note speeches, I have taken this knowledge forward into the applied context of cycle coaching. As a cycle coach and coach educator, to date I have worked with riders and coaches from over forty different national cycling federations. As an international standard performance cycle coach and coach educator, my role is mainly working with national team riders and national federation coaches. Through formal taught courses and informal hands on coaching, I have helped many federations develop their rider's performance, and given them insight into long term rider development. Often topics I help coaches and riders develop their learning include planning effective coaching sessions, developing relevant tactical race scenarios, to setting up structured long term strategies, to enable riders to build toward major events.
Based on these experiences, I can talk and debate over a broad range of cycle coaching topics. If you are interested in running a discussion / interactive presentation, aimed at giving your audience something to think about and thoughts on how they change their current training and racing methods, then please feel free to get in touch. Below is an example of some of the topics I am very happy to talk around.
> The basics of generating a talent developing environment
> Planning your training year
> Sensible approaches to Nutrition
> What makes an effective technical coaching session
> Developing the Coach
> Performance testing - bench-marking for success
> What do I do with my power meter?
> Race day demands and planning for success
